- “Her early childhood was spent on her father’s farm and in attendance at the public schools of her native county. After a course of study in the Rykers Ridge High school, she for a time taght in the schools of Jefferson county and later in Filmore county, Nebraska. She was a teacher in similar instituations. On December 29, 1886 she was united in marriage to Robert Stewart, to which union were born five children, the oldest having died in infancy. The four living are named Leo, Clyde, Fleda, and Ola respectively.” Her funeral at the Baptist Church featured an “excellent choir led by Mr. Samuel H. Stewart...” Was this a relative of her husband?
