- Obituary of Erma (Nash) Sterling

Mrs. Erma Nash Sterling, 61, wife of Claude Sterling, died at about 4 Tuesday afternoon at the family home in Dexter. In poor health several months, she had been confined to her bed for about a week.
Mrs. Sterling was born July 8, 1878 at Orleans, a daughter of Herbert and Jane Edmonds Nash. She was married to Claude Sterling in the town of LeRay Aug. 25, 1894.
Since her marriage, Mrs. Sterling had resided in or near Dexter.
Surviving her, besides her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Camille) Schlicher, Rome and Mrs. Hulbert (Dora) Harten, Dexter; a son Carlyle Sterling, Dexter; three grandchildren, John Sterling, Cleveland OH, Elgin Harten, Dexter, and Lyle Schlicher, Rome; a brother, Ray Nash, East Rochester and several cousins.
The body was removed to the Cummings Funeral home, where friends may call at their convenience and where funeral services will be held at 2 Friday afternoon. Rev. Albert Abbott, pastor of the First Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be made in the Dexter cemetery.
