Canaan Cemetery was established in 1812. It is a burial site of Revolutionary & Civil War soldiers. This was a former location of Canaan Methodist Church. The land was acquired and cemetery restored by Indian-Kentuck Baptist Church in 1963. The names and dates recorded were taken directly off the stones, if the stone was readable.
